January 27, 2018 FAST OC Advanced CCW Course

For our CCW and home defense students, we are now offering Concealed Carry Drill Nights. Scheduled typically on Friday and Saturday evenings, these are full courses with more advanced drills than you saw in our CCW/Self-Defense Courses. We start with a review of tactics and concepts in the classroom, followed by 3-4 hours of drills on the range. Several of you have asked for this, and we are starting this course based on your interest. The prerequisites are simple; you must have taken and passed our CCW course.

This course will challenge your skillsets and increase your ability to perform under stress. There is no drill too simple or too advanced in this course. Every drill is designed to improve specific skills that are applicable in real world scenarios, not simply to make you faster.

You will need the following:
Firearm and holster (Concealed or Open Carry Holsters are both acceptable)
250-300 Rounds (FMJ Preferred)
Closed-toed shoes and appropriate attire (Dress how you conceal, if you are a CCW holder)
Electronic hearing protection and eye protection
Water and snacks for the range portion
Portable note taking gear

This is NOT our CCW Renewal Course. For all questions regarding this course, email trent@fastoc.com.

November 18, 2017 FAST OC Defensive Shotgun Course

This is our FAST OC Defensive Shotgun Course. In this course, we will cover several different topics, from the various shotgun types that are available, to defensive ammunition selection and gun safety rules. We will discuss the concepts behind defending your home with a shotgun, including common misconceptions and tactics, as well as the reasoning behind them.

We will discuss how to make your home less of a target to a potential criminal, as well as methods for controlling and avoiding confrontations. Most importantly, we will discuss the emotional, social, and legal ramifications of a defensive shooting.

We will spend time on the range practicing what we have gone over in class, including moving while shooting and shooting from cover.

Feel free to contact us with any and all questions regarding this course at trent@fastoc.com. Ideally this course is for people who have already taken our basic shotgun course, or have equivalent training. We have several basic shotgun classes on the schedule before this course. The goal is not to force you to take more classes with us, but rather maximize the time in this course by ensuring you already have familiarity with the fundamentals of employing a shotgun.

October 21, 2017 FAST OC Advanced CCW Course
