  • F.A.S.T. O.C. 1095 North Main Street, Suite S Orange, CA, 92867 United States (map)

F.A.S.T. O.C.'s Introduction to Competitive Shooting course is designed to help new shooters get started in handgun competitions. This course is broken into classroom time (2 hours) and range time (4 hours).

Classroom: We will cover the most common handgun competitions and their rules and what you need to know about each. We cover IDPA, USPSA, ICORE and IPSC as well as discussions about several other disciplines. We'll discuss the scoring and rules and how to stay within them, as well as the gear required and recommended for each.

Range: Now we put what we learned into practice in a 4 hour range session to give you a taste of what it's going to be like in a real match, what to expect and how to do your best the first time on the field.

This course is taught by Van Duncan, IDPA Safety Officer Instructor and IDPA / USPSA / ICORE competitor.
