·        Persons who have taken a shorter orientation course but are looking for a more comprehensive understanding of handguns

This course is an 8-hour course (8AM – 5PM with a 1-hour lunch break) and is broken down into a 6-hour academic section with 2 hours of range time.

·        Handgun Safety / Safety Rules

·        Handgun Nomenclature

·        Ammunition Function / Types

·        Marksmanship

·        Legal aspects of handgun ownership / transportation / use

·        CCW holders looking to keep current and practiced with their defensive handgun

·        Any shooter looking to expand their knowledge on defensive shooting skills, technique and mindset

This is a range time only course and is taught by our cadre of instructors who have spent a career with the Federal Government not only carrying a defensive firearm, but are with the firearms training units with their respective agencies. The topic covered in this course will be listed in the calendar title above.

This is a range time only course and is taught by our cadre of instructors who have spent a career with the Federal Government not only carrying a defensive firearm, but are with the firearms training units with their respective agencies. The topic covered in this course will be listed in the calendar title above. 

For this course, you will need to bring with you the following:

·        Handgun appropriate for concealed carry

·        A holster that covers the trigger guard of your firearm, and is suitable for concealment (i.e. NO Serpa Holsters, No Sticky Holster, No Urban Carry Sleeve style holsters, No Collapsible or neoprene type holsters.

·        Eye and Ear Protection

·        250+ Rounds of ammunition

·        3+ Magazines

·        Additional equipment as required per clinic topic (an e-mail will be sent prior detailing any required equipment such as flashlights, snap caps, etc.)

The FAST OC 8 Hour Initial CCW Course is for following persons:

·        PERSONS who are looking to obtain their Orange County CCW Permit

·        PERSONS who are safe and competent handling handguns

·        PERSONS who accept the responsibility for obtaining their own further training to become competent in self-defense firearms use.

This course is limited to providing the required training to meet the requirements for initial CCW issuance as set forth by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

This course is for those persons who are looking for a 1-day course with a focus on academic classroom instruction. The 1-day course does not include the skills necessary to instill competency in defensive shooting. You will only be required to qualify with your firearm at 3, 5 and 7 yards. No holster work / drawing is provided in this course.

We DO NOT charge extra for additional firearms. The fee shown in checkout covers the range fee, classroom materials, additional guns, and targets.

The FAST OC Basic Handgun Course is intended for the following persons:

·        Persons who have limited to no experience with handguns

·        Persons who are looking to have a remedial review of handgun safety, handgun operation, and marksmanship

·        Persons who have been ordered by a court of law to attend a firearms safety course

·        Persons who have taken a shorter orientation course but are looking for a more comprehensive understanding of handguns

This course is an 8-hour course (8AM – 5PM with a 1-hour lunch break) and is broken down into a 6-hour academic section with 2 hours of range time.

For students who have already purchased a firearm, we can provide instruction on the operation of your handgun as well as instruction and coaching on your firearm during the range time. Students are encouraged to bring their own ammunition for their firearm as an alternative as our ammunition may not always cycle newer guns.

The FAST OC Orange County CCW Renewal Course is for the following persons:

·        Persons who currently possess a CCW issued by the Orange County Sherriff’s Department

·        Persons who are near or within 120 days of their renewal date for their CCW permit

The FAST OC Orange County CCW Renewal Course is 4 hours, with additional time for range qualifications. This is the required refresher course you must take as part of the OCSD CCW License renewal process, OCSD Policy 218. The course must be taken during the renewal process prior to OCSD renewing your license.  In accordance with OCSD requirements, our course covers the legal aspects of CCW, the terms of your license, and requalification with the weapons listed on your license (along with any firearm changes you wish to make).

Please ensure the worksheet that will be e-mailed to you is filled out in its entirety and submitted back to us prior to the start date of the course, or we’ll need to reschedule you to a future date.

The FAST OC Advanced CCW Clinic is for, but not limited to the following persons:

·        Persons looking to expand their skill sets in defensive shooting

·        Persons looking to be trained by experienced instructors

·        CCW holders looking to focus on an area of weakness in their skills / techniques

·        CCW holders looking to keep current and practiced with their defensive handgun

·        Any shooter looking to expand their knowledge on defensive shooting skills, technique and mindset
